Why Feet?

Foot dysfunction is an epidemic and a dysfunctional foot (position, strength, mobility) massively effect the mechanics of every structure above it. Due to that, it can be a major factor and/or root cause of pain and injury higher up as well as being a painful structure itself. 

Supportive and stabilising shoes, Orthotics and surgery have become the only answer that we are taught and we expect.

Many people, however, are waking up to the fact that there must be a better solution to foot dysfunction rather than what has become the norm in the healthcare industry.

Orthotics have a place however restoring foot function and protecting from poor footwear should always be the focus and long term goal.

For runners, your feet are vitally important but mostly ignored in terms of training.  Restoring and improving your feet is important and is possible with a little guidance and effort.  It is always worth it!

Removing the need for orthotics, stabilising or excessive cushioning should always be the goal.


We have integrated a lot of the teachings into an already comprehensive running programme but also into his 3 hr Ready to Run and Barefoot Running Workshops as well as the 2 hour Foot Collective Workshop. Upcoming workshops can be viewed and booked on the "Workshop" section of the shop.

What is The Foot Collective?

We’re a global community of health advocates on a mission to help humans reclaim strong, functional and painfree bodies (….starting at feet) through foot health education.

Our goal is to empower people with the knowledge they need to protect their bodies from the dangers of modern life and provide simple guidance on restoring functional, painfree and resilient feet & hips.


Footwear at it currently exists is killing our feet and TFC is on a mission to rescue them with advice posted through social media

Shoe companies are in the business of making money, not of making foot healthy footwear. We’re spreading the truth about footwear and helping people understand the dangers of wearing cushioned, supportive and ramped footwear. Your best defense against pain or injury is knowledge and TFC is giving people the information they need to protect themselves.

Your feet are magically designed to send your brain signals about the ground below you. When they get compressed into cushioned shoes it prevents them from sensing the ground and creates nasty upstream effects for our bodies.
